I would like to know if anyone has had Fraxel laser, to what areas, how many treatments and the cost(s).
What were the results? Was it worth it? What were your expectations and were they met?
Thanks.

sjh,
I haven't tried the Fraxel Laser Treatment yet, but I work for a board certified plastic surgeon in the Los Angeles area by the name of Dr. Stevens and he offers this treatment.
He has some information that you might find helpful on his web site about the Fraxel Laser Treatment along with some FAQs.
[please no urls]
Good luck in your research,
Sweetk

After consulting with many doctors, I went with one in NY (where I live) and had the first treatment today. HE studied with Fitzpatrick and one of the guys that worked with the company. I would only go with someone that has before and after photos as well as one that is involved in the actual clinical studies since it is a new laser. My face is red, but I have no pain. I highly recommend that you numb for 2 hours since i experienced very little pain on the 3rd pass. I bought 5 treatments for $6k and he included the back of my arms where I have a redness type rash--called keratosos polaris or something. I tried very hard to find information on the fraxel and could not, so I will post regularly. I think it is not a WOW procedure because you do need a good 5 treatments. My doctor also has me applying tri-luma right after the procedure and not days after since the pores are open for the first 24 hours after the procedure. I am 34, very attractive and started getting these dirty look and a few spots within the last year. It drives me nuts so I went for the procedure. I dont have wrinkles, so I am not a candidate for Co2 or Erbium or any resurfacing or peel. make sure you get the Fraxel for the right reasons. You dont want to do a harsh procedure if youre young. Save that for later. right now, I have a little bit of swelling, but no pain and a slight stinging on my arms.

There is an 80+ page thread on www.acne.org.
most people there are getting fraxel laser for scars and pores. but it has about 30 percent improvement on average.

It did nothing for me. I simply wasted money. I went several times at $1000 to try to rid my skin of some acne marks.
