I am 18, and have always had a rediculously thick head of hair. I mean, it would jam the razors at barber shops, and water ran off like duck feathers. for about 3 months, maybe more, I have been losing it. my temples are going back, the hair there is getting very skinny and thin, and when I shower, or even run my fingers through my hair, I see hair on my hands. at least 10-20 strands. I can also see my scalp when it is wet. When I pull it out by running my hands through it, I have noticed that there is almost no root at all. barely there. I dont have any idea why this might be happening, maybe thyroid problems....like I said, idk. I am about to go see a dermatologist, maybe that will help. using nioxin shampoo kit, it just makes my scalp itch and I now have bad dandruff....this is really bothering me, as my hair has always been my best feature.

Hi there!!
According to my suggestion, u should switch over to Herbal
shampoo which is not harsh to hairs at all.
Get a shampoo which contain amla, shikakai which are really fruitful for your hair loss.
I think u should try it!!!
Good Luck!

Eat healthily and take a good multi-vitamin supplement. Head massages can stimulate blood to the hair roots and help hair growth. Use hair products designed to add volume, and go for blunt haircuts, which make your hair appear thicker. Also remember that we all lose between 50-100 strands of hair each day! Also recommend to read "Myhairway" book

Id start out with the plethora of herbal rememdies and natural treatments available out there and only if this fails to stop your hair loss would I then look in to FDA approved treatments.
