Hi. I am female and have had a tattoo for about ten years. It is about 3 and a half inches, round, and on my upper arm. Kind of star shaped. One dark color. I can post a pic if necessary.

I really want to have this tattoo removed. What would everyone suggest? I have some money, but not alot. What should my options and costs be? I live in Miami, Florida. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hello
I have went to a laser specialist for a consultation for a tattoo removal & the estimate was about $1200 for about 5 sessions, & that is here in Canada.
Go for a consultation - that part is free.
Good luck!

I have undergone 3 laser treatments for a removal of a tattoo on my ankle. Mine is about 4 inches long and about 3 wide. Mine had several colors in it. They say that the black ink is easier to remove than the green. I still have the outside (tracing) to do. The inside has faded a lot but still need about 5 sessions. I was paying $75.00 per session. I think it's worth it so my children won't have to see it when they are older.

I had a tattoo removed by Dr. Paul Dermer in Miami, FL about 7 years ago. It took about six sessions and cost me about $1000 or so. I'm very pleased with the results. If you consult with him, just make sure he is using the latest laser technology. I believe the newer lasers can remove tattoos in only two or three sessions. If you want you can email me at DemiseofSanity77@aol.com.

Some tattoos are a lot harder to remove than others. An all black tattoo is usually easier to remove than a multicolor one. For black, a q-switched YAG laser is best, while for green and blue, a q-switched ruby is best. You could find out more info at http://www.tattoomdla.com

why do you want to remove your tattoo? Does it look bad? But you said you have that for about ten years? then why you want it to be remove? :)

Use the TCA peel for tattoo removal. Its acidity nature allows skin to get rid of tattoo effectively.
