im 18, male
Ok so i know 18 seems young but I spent many MANY years in the sun and tanning beds and was left with small lines on my forehead ALREADY! I quit tanning about a year ago FYI.
Anyways, so I went a very reliable doctor that has done many surgeries for family members. I think a lot of the nurses thought i was a joke cause im young. My doctor initially did the lines on my forehead. It was painless and over quickly. I got a small headache later on in the day but nothing bad at all. It seemed that over the next few days I had lost some of the movement in my forehead but nowhere near the effects I had desired.
A month had passed and It seemed the little bit that the Botox worked had already worn off. I went back to my doctor and he apologized and told me a few clients who had also received injections from that 'batch' had come back and that it was a bad batch. He did not only my forehead lines but also between my eyes and my crows feet for FREE! He apologized and said he hoped it worked better this time.
At first I thought that the botox didnt work the 1st time because they gave me a LOW dose, or they were just wanting to mess with an 18 year old...
Im hoping that round two works better! Its been almost 48 hours since injections and I already notice a big improvement in my forehead lines and my frown lines...
I hope the improvement continues and it doesnt wear off as fast as the 1st round did. I will be crushed
Does anyone know why It wore off or has anyone had a similar experience? |

| How well Botox works also depends on the technique of injection. It has to be injected right into the facial muscles, not too deep or too superficial. Otherwise, the muscle will not get access to the full dose of the botox. It's impossible to know if that happened. Also, some plastic surgeons may do a lot more operating than injecting botox and dermal fillers, so it all depends on their individual skills of injecting. |

the doctor should have provided you a thorough explanation on how does botox injection resulted to a failed injection. |
